Someone (the who and how are your choice) thinks that in order to help the misanthropic doctor face his inner demons, he or she (not one of the regular characters, but not a OC too present in the fic, the least we see of it the better) splits him in different facets of his personality or gives an independent body to each one of this facets to be more precise (Obviously some kind of magic it's involved, I have an idea for the how and the possible who, ask if you want). So, House and Wilson now have to deal with a clingy 3 year old toddler and a nightmarish teenager (14 to 17). It can be a friendship fic between House and Wilson or a Hilson fic (if friendship fic romance is forbid). Liberty to choose the end, or to add another personality if the idea is good. And one more thing, the toddler should cling to... who else Wilson. House cannot get rid of them until he confronts his issues (and lets face it, he's not so good at confronting issues) and Wilson doesn't know if he wants to get rid of little Greggy.
So that's all, ask away if you want ideas, or just write if this inspired you now.
So adopt this poor bunny, it's wasting away in my crowded imagination. |

Summary: House has a dream. People always have dreams, God knows, with their little iconic, loud, legendary speeches, some did it well, having dreams. Some changed the world, spun the freaking earth in reverse and it's not bad, it's not bad at all, the famed reputation of the dreaming few.
But fuck... did they surround themselves with people who couldn't stand them? Did they share living space with one of the unsung heroes of amateur psychiatry? Where they in physical pain that wouldn't stop? Hell no. They dreamt and they inspired and they acted and they succeeded and House's dream is still no more than a dream. And he's mad. Mad as fuck tonight.
Notes: I wrote this because Wilson's little analysis at the end of Private Lives pissed me off... it felt like he was ridiculing House because he wanted to be normal, and that's just wrong. Also, the writers are still ignoring the pain issues... there was a scene in there but it came and went like it meant nothing... and it does mean something to be in unrelenting pain. I'd be mad if everyone around me chose to ignore it, which is where the title comes from.

Summary: House’s minions find a new patient, one who is reluctant to allow House to treat him. Begins three months after the opening scene of A Gentle Knock at the Door. Part of the Contract universe, which includes DIY Sheep’s intense and angsty The Contract, and Priority’s sequel Exigencies.
Thanks: To priority and houserocket7 for encouraging me to writing this side story to A Gentle Knock on the Door, and for their faithful diligence in copy editing my sloppy prose.
Warnings, etc.: Generally safe, but references to torture, rape and major character death that has happened in the past. Some chapters are pretty angsty.

This Chapter: Wilson was staggered. House had never shared this information with him… or anyone else, to Wilson’s knowledge. Almost like finding the crucial piece of a jigsaw puzzle, everything suddenly began snapping into place.
